RADCLIFFE'S cricketers notched their fourth victory of the season when they beat third-placed neighbours Unsworth by three runs on Sunday.
Anwar Ul-Haq was the star of the show with a fine all-round display, scoring 56 and then taking 5-74 in the Unsworth reply.
Professional Usman Tariq (36) and Richard Farnworth (38) chipped in as Radcliffe were bowled out for 195, before Unsworth fell agonisingly short. Tariq was also in the wickets as he took 4-38.
A day earlier, Radcliffe had gone down to an eight-wicket defeat at home to Werneth. Tariq scored a superlative 117 in his side's 241-8, but Werneth coasted to their target thanks to Alan Durose, who scored 112 not out.
Radcliffe are back in action tomorrow when they host Littleborough (1.45pm start).
