MP Ivan Lewis will today hold a "crunch" meeting with the boss of a pet products firm making controversial changes to a Radcliffe mill.

Concerns have been raised in recent months about Pennine Industries Ltd, which is based in Bradley Fold Mill, off Bradley Lane.

Bury Council has issued a stop notice to the firm after reports that they had been allegedly carrying out work without planning permission.

People living nearby are also worried about lorries and other large vehicles accessing the site using a narrow road which, they claim, is only supposed to be used for access by residents and the emergency services.

Ivan Lewis, MP for Bury South, will host a meeting this morning with Mark Seddon, managing director of Pennine Industries, in his office in Bury New Road, Prestwich.

He will be joined by some of the residents, councillors Sharon Briggs and Stuart Penketh, and planning officers from Bury Council.

It is hoped that they will be able to work together to resolve the dispute between Mr Seddon and residents.
