A live' link to Iraq to talk to a relative followed the wedding of Mr Ian Turnbull and Miss Sharron Jane Lindsay. They were married at Bury Register Office.
The bridegroom, of Westcombe Drive, Brandlesholme, Bury, is the son of Mr and Mrs G Turnbull who live in the town's Wellington Square. The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth Lindsay, of Lathom Street, Bury.
At the wedding, the bride wore a cream with white embroidery dress and carried cream roses and lilies.
Matron of honour was Mrs Julie Maddocks, sister of the bride, and best man was Mr Tony Boardman.
A meal was held at the Red Lion in Hawkshaw and the couple honeymooned in Gran Canaria.
