THE owners of a decaying listed building in Affetside have been given permission to make urgent repairs.
The grade II-listed farmhouse and attached barn at Bradshaw Head Farm, in Watling Street, have fallen into a state of disrepair and work needs to be carried out to ensure the building does not collapse.
Councillors at last week's planning control committee in Bury expressed concerns about why the building had been neglected. But they approved the application for it to be re-roofed, using Welsh Blue slate rather than stone flags.
