A SCHOOL cleaner has tidied away her duster for the final time after retiring from Radcliffe's Wesley Methodist primary.
And staff said farewell with flowers during a presentation to Mrs Elaine Madden to mark her 12 years at the Forth Road school.
She received flowers and flower tubs together with chocolates, champagne and vouchers, while pupils presented her with a giant card to express their good wishes. Also attending the retirement ceremony was Mrs Madden's husband, Jack.
School headteacher, Mr Geoff Hirst said: "Edna was our main cleaner here and worked very hard. We will miss her. The send-off showed how much we appreciated her."
