STAFF and pupils at Radcliffe Primary School have said a fond farewell to long-serving teacher Mrs Linda Butt.
She has retired after a career in teaching spanning 32 years, 19 of which were spent at the Coronation Road school.
To mark her final day, Mrs Butt was presented with a variety of gifts and also received a framed certificate from Bury Council in tribute to years of service and retirement.
Mrs Butt, who lives in Salford and has two sons, two daughters and one grandchild, was the guest of honour at a whole school assembly when the presentation was held.
She received a cheque, white gold bracelet and flowers, while Mr Roger Holt from the local authority's children's services handed over the framed certificate.
Now, Mrs Butt plans to visit one of her daughters in Australia, spend more time with her family, particularly her grandchild, and pursue more hobbies.
