A NEW deacon has started work in Ramsbottom and Edenfield.
Audrey Kay was ordained at a ceremony at Manchester Cathedral this month.
She will work as a unpaid, part-time deacon with the Ramsbottom and Edenfield Team Ministry for three years. She will spend most of her first year at St Andrew's Church, Ramsbottom, under the tuition of the Rev Ian Rogerson.
Mrs Kay lives in Radcliffe. She is married and has two children.
