Mason Jones, who died in a freak accident while playing with his young sisters, was laid to rest today.
Five hundred people, including a number of the six-year-old's school pals, celebrated the youngster's short but full life at a moving funeral service in Bury.
Mason's coffin was carried on a horse-drawn hearse and taken to St Joseph and St Bede's Primary School where 150 mourners joined a silence procession to St Joseph's Church. Twice as many packed the Roman Catholic church for a Mass of Angels.
The cortege was given a police escort as residents emerged from their homes in Walmersley to say farewell to the "little man" with a big smile and an angelical smile.
Mason died on July 13, while playing with his twin sisters, Danica and Tionne, at their home in Walmersley Road. He was hanged when a skipping rope game went tragically wrong.
His parents, Jenni and Damian, kindly gave the Bury Times their permission to attend today's funeral service and a full report and more pictures will be published in Thursday's edition.
