TWO fires were deliberately started outside a Prestwich house in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Firefighters from Whitefield were called to Stanley Avenue South at around midnight after reports that a skip had been set on fire outside the property.
They spent one hour tackling the blaze in the skip, which was filled with rubbish because building work was being done at the bungalow.
A few hours later, at around 5am, firefighters returned to the scene when building materials were set on fire next to the house.
A can of petrol was recovered from the scene and police are investigating the arson attacks.
