IT is turning out to be real whodunnit when it comes to which leader of Bury Council put together the planned bid for Congestion Charging.
Someone must know. Those who were granted the privilege to represent us have us believe they don't know what the proposals properly entail or how they will affect us, but nevertheless are willing to vote for them on our behalf.
It has been admitted that in the Congestion Charge leaflets, Terry the van driver from Rochdale' was really Erich the model from Seattle'. Solicitor Ann from Ashton' was a model called Kiki.
Leaders of all ten Greater Manchester councils are meeting on the July 27 to decide.
It will be interesting to see which model citizen goes from Bury.
