AS reported in the Bury Times, the governors at Woodhey High School, Ramsbottom, have made a decision to change the school uniform.
The result of this policy is that from September any girls that attend the school will only be permitted to wear a specific design of trousers (only available from one specialist supplier) and that the wearing of skirts by the girls will be banned.
Despite numerous attempts to engage with the school over this matter I have been forced to make an official complaint to have my views heard.
The governors have convened a complaints sub-committee to hear my complaint.
During my correspondence with the school they have informed me that there have been a number of other complaints from parents.
Therefore, I would be grateful if I could use this letter to appeal to any other parents/guardians of girls who attend Woodhey who have complained to the school about the new school uniform policy to contact me as they may be able to provide evidence or information which could support me in this matter.
If, as a parent, you have complained about this issue, please contact me by e-mail at woodheyuniform@hotmail.co.uk and I will then contact you with further information.
