A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car crashed head-on into a bus early on Sunday.
The young male was taken to hospital with facial injuries following the collision in Bolton Road, Bury, at 6.15am.
Police breathalysed the driver at the scene and a blood sample was later taken at Fairfield General Hospital. The motorist, who is believed to be from Haslingden, has been released on bail pending toxicology tests.
The bus, operated by the company First, was not in service and no-one else was injured in the crash. The Citroen was written off and the front of the bus badly damaged.
