WITH reference to the letter concerning smells from the United Utilities plant at Radcliffe.
The people of Fleetwood have been suffering with the most vile smells imaginable for a few years now and despite residents complaining on a regular basis, up to now United Utilities have denied all responsibility for it.
It is so bad that windows and doors have to be kept closed when the smell starts and if the washing is out to dry, it has to be washed all over again.
At the present time our local council have commissioned a company at a cost of £44,000 to find out exactly what part of the sewage plant or, as United Utilities prefer to call it - a treatment plant, is responsible. It is alright saying phone them, it is getting them to do something about it.
All I can say is best of luck to you - you will need it.
