YOUNGSTERS at Elton High School are staging a "peach" of a production this week.
For a giant spider, glowworm, centipede and ladybird will take centre stage when pupils perform a musical version of the classic Roald Dahl novel James and the Giant Peach on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Kristen Mills, head of music, said: "The pupils have worked tremendously hard in the run-up to staging what promises to be a great show.
"And their input has not been solely on the acting side as pupils have also composed all the music, helped create the fantastic costumes, props and stage backdrops."
To book tickets, priced £3.50 adults and £3 concessions, contact Elton High on (0161) 763 1434.
Each performance begins at 7.30pm and tickets can be purchased on the night.
