RADCLIFFE Cricket Club is looking for sponsorship to restore its decaying scorebox to its former glory.
The structure was built in 1951 but has fallen into a state of disrepair over the years.
The problem became so serious that the club spent £1,500 building a temporary scorebox on their site in Unsworth Street.
But it is now appealing for help from local businesses to repair the original scorebox.
Club chairman Chris Franklin said: "The scoreboard we had was the best in the league, but it's not really safe now. The roof and the beams are rotting and there has been some vandalism as well. The temporary scoreboard is okay, but it's nothing like our old one. We would love to be able to repair the scoreboard and use it again."
Anyone who can help should contact the club on (0161) 723 2604.
