AN appeal by the RSPCA for people to visit its new distribution centre in Bradley Fold proved to be a real success.

Dozens of customers visited the warehouse on Bradley Fold Trading Estate, in Radcliffe Moor Road, after an appeal in the Radcliffe Times.

The centre was originally opened in March to store second-hand goods before they are sent to the charity's eight shops in Bury and Oldham.

But they received so many items that the warehouse was full and centre manager Gillian Steele decided to sell direct to the public.

Many of the goods have now been sold, but the charity still has items on offer.

They are also urging people to donate good quality second-hand items which can be sold to raise money for animals in need.

Gillian said: "We had so many people coming into the centre to buy things that we're running low on stock now. I'd like to thank everyone for all the support they've given over the last few weeks, but we do want them to come back. We're always looking for more donations and more customers."

The distribution centre is open from 10am to 4pm weekdays and the charity offers a delivery and collection service for larger items.
