A 19-YEAR-OLD man was arrested following a vandalism spree in Ramsbottom's Market Place.
Windows were smashed and fire extinguishers set off at the Market Chambers building during a break-in shortly before 4am on Saturday.
Police believe two men got into the building in Market Place after climbing scaffolding and breaking a window.
The same men are believed to have broken into Ramson's restaurant minutes earlier.
They had fled the building after being disturbed by restaurant owner Chris Johnson. Once outside they started throwing stones at the restaurant, smashing several windows.
The two men then broke into the Market Chambers before police arrived from Bury.
The teenager arrested on suspicion of breaking into the Market Chambers was later released on police bail pending further inquiries. A second man was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis.
