TWO pubs in Bury and Ramsbottom received more than £200,000 to help boost business.

The Towler Inn in Bury, received £123,000 while £79,000 was injected in The Major hotel in Ramsbottom, thanks to Ei Publican Partnerships.

More than £1million has been invested by the leased and tenanted pub business, which is part of Ei Group plc, into its pubs in the North West over the last six months.

The investment formed part of a wider expenditure into hundreds of pubs across the UK.

The cash was used to improve both the Towler Inn, in Walmersley Road, and The Major hotel in Bolton Street.

Nick Light, managing director at Ei Publican Partnerships, said: “We’re committed to supporting, developing and investing in our publicans throughout the North West, to help create exceptional local pubs at the heart of the community. Using our industry-leading segmentation tool, which enables us to analyse the local area in detail and create a retail offer that best suits the community, we’re confident that the £1 million has been spent wisely.”
