ENTERPRISING pupil Annabelle Kelly was named winner of a TV-style competition at Tottington High School.

As reported last week, Annabelle and Greg Wheeler were competing to be recognised as the school's best business brain in a competition based on the television series The Apprentice.

The two 16-year-olds came face to face in a showdown on Bury Market before undergoing final interviews with the school's judging panel.

Winner Annabelle has chosen to put her £100 prize money towards a laptop computer.

School enterprise co-ordinator Neil Coe said: "Both students learnt so much from the experience.

"The chance to run a market stall gave them a huge boost in confidence and the many interviews they've faced have prepared them well for how to conduct themselves confidently in interview situations they may face after they leave school.

"I think both of them feel that they could now make some money for themselves if they need to!"
