S CLUB 7 chart topper Tina Barrett will star in a pantomime production of The Wizard of Oz in Radcliffe this April.
Fans of the international pop star can “Bring It All Back” and see Tina perform again when she takes on the role of the Witch of the West at the Radcliffe Civic Suite on April 7.
She will take to the stage alongside Melissa Suffield, known to millions as Eastenders' Lucy Beale, and Chris Edgerley, of CITV’s Hi 5, in the travelling production.
Kevin Brown, the show’s producer, said: “Tina trained at the London Arts Educational School for eight years so she brings her amazing vocal talent to the role.
“She has the performance skills to bring the Witch of the West to life on stage, making her a lovely villain to boo and hiss as she tries to get the red shoes from Dorothy.”
Melissa, who is playing Dorothy, starred in Eastenders for six years and has a large number of theatre and panto credits to her name.
Kevin added: “I first worked with Melissa at Christmas when she played Snow White.
“I’m looking forward to her performance as Dorothy which will see her be being transported to the land of Oz to visit the great Wizard of Oz.
“Along the way she will meet a Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion”.
The Wizard of Oz will show at the Radcliffe Civic Suite in Thomas Street at 7pm for one day only on April 7 as part of the production’s UK tour.
Tickets are £8 with those booked before March 14 priced at £7. Book at Radcliffe Civic Suite, online at trio-entertainment.co.uk or by calling 0151 321 0833.
