Prestwich subway attempted rape arrest
A MAN has been arrested in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in a Prestwich subway.
He is now in custody for questioning and police said the investigation was continuing.
The 20-year-old woman was walking under the subway in Bury New Road, which runs under junction 17 of the M60 in Prestwich, shortly after 6pm on Sunday, November 3, when a man is alleged to have grabbed her, assaulted her and then sexually assaulted her, police said.
