A vintage trader will return to Ramsbottom Civic Hall with a ‘Vintage Pop Up Party’ on Sunday.
Charlotte Mitchell, of Bye Road, Shuttleworth, runs Manchester Vintage stalls, and was initially forced out of Ramsbottom because of a policy that governs the number of stalls allowed in the borough.
She had booked Ramsbottom Civic Hall for the first Sunday of every month, but was unaware of the markets charter, which Bury Council says is necessary to regulate markets across the town.
After holding a similar event in Rawtenstall in September, Ms Mitchell says she is delighted to be able to return to Ramsbottom.
She said: “We had moved to Rossendale but found that we missed Ramsbottom and the buzz of our previous events, it had became clear to us that not only ‘Ramsbottom Needs Vintage’but that we needed Ramsbottom.
“We decided to come up with a fun-filled day of vintage, entertainment, fine food and shopping.”
The event will include a range of activities such as dance lessons, vintage DJ sets, vintage make-over demonstrations as well as catwalk fashion shows, live singing and entertainment.
There will be a range of vintage goods from around the North West with clothing, accessories and gifts.
Entry is £1 for over-16s, and there will also be afternoon tea available costing for £15 for two people.
They are also planning a Christmas vintage fair on December 1, with a festive themed event.
The event runs from 11am-4pm.
