Three teenagers are being sought by police in connection with an attempted burglary in Bury.
The youths approached the side of a house in Hornby Street at around 3pm on August 29 and attempted to open the door with a screwdriver.
However they were disturbed by a neighbour and ran off in the direction of Argyle Street.
Then on September 1 at around 12.30pm the same three youths attempted to open the door of a house in Turf Hill Road, Rochdale, using a screwdriver.
Their attempt was unsuccessful and they then left the area.
The three boys are all described as being white, and around 16 years of age.
Detective Constable Danny Whitaker, of Bury police, said: “The apparent youthfulness of all three boys is of course concerning but we believe they are responsible for two attempted burglaries and we need to find out who they are.
“Someone, be it a teacher, friend, family member or neighbour will know them and we are appealing for help to identify them.
“I would urge members of the public to take a close look at the photographs, which are of very good quality, and if you recognise any of the boys please call us.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 8181 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
