A TEENAGE boy has been stabbed in the neck in Bury town centre.
Police were called to The Wylde in Bury at 11.05pm last night following reports of an assault.
Officers attended and found a boy, aged 16, with stab wounds to his neck. He is believed to have been stabbed with a broken bottle.
Police have confirmed his condition is serious but not life threatening. He is in hospital awaiting surgery.
Three teenagers, boys aged 17, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.
Det Insp Caroline Ward said: “Although we have made three arrests, I would urge any witnesses who may have witnessed an altercation between the teenager and a group to come forward. If you did see anything, please contact police.”
