LOFTHOUSE Ernest Joseph Aged 95 years, passed away peacefully at Fernhill Care Home on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 with family by his side. Dearly loved husband of Isabella Elizabeth Lofthouse, father of Ian and Keith, dear father-in-law of Ann and Gill. Adored grandfather of Sadie, Sam, Joseph, Jinny, Harry and Callan. Great-grandfather of Lilah, Bonnie, Wilfred and Edie. Ex headmaster of Haslingden Secondary Modern School and latterly Tottington High School. A great teacher and practical man, hill walker, story teller, organic gardener, stone wall builder and wood turner with great hands. Funeral service and committal will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Wednesday 12th April at 12.15pm afterwards Sykeside Country House Hotel at 1.30pm.
