ATKINSON Marjorie (nee Knowles) On 29th November 2022, peacefully in hospital and of Bury, aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Albert, loving mum of Sylvia, Julie and Wendy, dear sister of Barbara and a dear mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma. Reception into St Stephen's Church Bury will be on Monday 19th November at 6.00pm. The celebration of Marjorie's life will be at Church on Tuesday 20th December at 12.30pm followed by committal at Radcliffe Crematorium at 1.30pm. The family have requested that those attending wear a splash of purple or lilac. Family flowers only please. Donations if so desired, cheques only made payable to St Stephens Church may be forwarded to Silletts Funeral Service, Spring Lane, Radcliffe, M26 2TQ. Tel 0161 723 2383.

It was a true honour to know Marjorie through St Stephen's Primary School PTA & church. She was a truly remarkable lady who gave so much to our community, particularly to the children. She cared for local stray cats and we adopted 2 of her kittens. She cared, and she was a blessing in the world. God bless you, Marjorie, you've earned your rest and may you rest now in eternal peace. Xx

Treasured memories of all the hard work, dedication and love that Marjorie put into the pantomimes over the years.
Always commanded the greatest of respect from grown ups and children alike.
The community won't be the same without her.
