OWEN Nigel Nigel passed away at Fairfield General Hospital on 2nd November 2022, aged 77 years. Much loved Dad of Rick and Jennifer and a beloved Grandad of Joseph and George. Nigel sadly passed away with Alzheimers and Dementia which he struggled with in the last couple of years of his life. The last year got progressively worse in a short space of time. Nigel's main passions were Music, Guitars, Steam engines and locomotives. He was a model railway enthusiast and he used to work on the London Underground and he was a member of the East Lancashire Railway. Nigel was a lead guitarist for a London based Rock & Roll band in the 1970's, The Flying Saucers. They released several albums during their career and toured all over Europe. Nigel's talent as a Musician/guitar artist led him to play with numerous famous artists & musicians including Chuck Berry amongst others. Nigel will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. The Funeral service and committal will take place on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at East Lancashire Crematorium, Radcliffe at 2:30pm.
