RHS Garden Bridgewater is bring some sparkle and magic to Christmas celebrations this year.
RHS Glow opens today at the beautiful gardens on the border of Walkden and Worsley.
This year’s spectacular light and sound show will cover a route around the garden measuring 1440 metres and is packed with atmospheric new installations and features.

Artist in residence announced at RHS Garden Bridgewater
Highlights include:
• Giant petunias that come to life at a touch and snap a selfie with family and friends in front of the sparkling star arch.
• Wandering through whimsical creations, with yew domes lit up like twinkly hedgehogs, swirling snowflake lights along your path and glittering tunnels.
• Listen to festive tunes chosen by visitors as you weave your way through glittering fairy light Christmas trees.
• Stop at the Marshmallow Station near Garden Cottage to toast giant gourmet marshmallows over the fire pit.
• Catch The Midnight Gardener's exciting new interactive light juggling show full of mind-blowing effects to wow the whole family.
• Experience ‘And Then I Slipped’, a sparkling, interactive waterfall of light created by award-winning art studio I Don’t Love You Anymore, originally commissioned by Light Up Lancaster and Lightpool Blackpool.
As part of this year’s RHS Glow, visitors can also discover highlights from ‘Jack Frost – A Winter Story’, an enchanting new musical collaboration written and narrated by gardener, broadcaster, and RHS Ambassador Alan Titchmarsh MBE, with music by renowned composer Debbie Wiseman OBE.
This magical tale brings the story of Jack Frost to life, adding a touch of extra winter sparkle to the journey through the illuminated garden.
To complete their festive evening, visitors can enjoy tempting festive treats and hot dishes at the Bridgewater Café, pick up a warming hot chocolate (Bailey’s optional!) or mulled wine at the Shepherd’s Hut, or head to the Stables Café for an Italian-themed dishes, featuring pizza, arancini and irresistible cannoli.
