A SERIES of health walks has been arranged by Bury Council to tackle obesity and encourage exercise.
The walks are free and in local parks, and the sports development team advises bringing sensible shoes and a raincoat!
The November walks are all at 1pm (unless stated otherwise).
Level one walks (30 minutes, easy terrain): Clarence Park, Bury (Nov 7); Nuttall Park, Ramsbottom (Nov 13); Close Park, Radcliffe (Nov 22, at 11am).
Level two walks (30-90 minutes, moderate): Town Meadow Park, Tottington (Nov 4 and 18, at 11am); Openshaw Park, Bury (Nov 5 and 19); Whitehead Park, Bury (Nov 12); Whitefield Park (Nov 14); St Mary's Park, Prestwich (Nov 21); Bolton Road Park, Radcliffe (Nov 28).
Level three walks (90-plus minutes for regular exercisers): St Mary's Park, Prestwich (Nov 11); Clarence Park, Bury (Nov 25); Whitehead Park, Bury (Nov 26).
