BURY Market will be on TV next month after giving a chance to four unemployed men.
The results will be shown on the Jeremy Kyle show on November 14, starting at 9.25am on ITV 1.
The programme aimed to get the men out of a rut and show how they could benefit from a proper day's work. Their reward was a professionally written CV and a reference from the stallholder they were employed by.
Martin Montgomery (22) from Northampton, and Lincoln man Ashley Hill (26) worked on Leslie's Sweets, while Johnny Depledge (26) from Bradford worked on Iddon's Home Grown Produce. Murray Jeffery (43) from Hastings helped out on Chadwick's Black Puddings.
l A record 23 coaches brought 1,000 new visitors to Bury Market on October 18, taking the coach total over the 500-mark in the last seven months.
Market managers also hosted a training seminar for their counterparts across the country at the request of NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities), who voted Bury the best market in the land.
Graham Wilson, NABMA chief executive, said Bury was a wonderful ambassador for markets.
