I feel I must congratulate David Nuttall on his recent performance in the House of Commons.
In the week when savage spending cuts and a draconian VAT rise were unveiled, a lot of Bury residents were probably selfishly thinking only of themselves.
It took someone of Mr Nuttall’s insight to grasp the really pressing issue of the day: With the continued freezing of the Civil List, will there be enough money in the kitty to ensure that the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 is properly marked?
I know this is a concern for many of his constituents and I thank him for bringing this important matter to the attention of the House.
