WALSHAW Sports enjoyed a second straight win in the Manchester League Premier Division as they triumphed 2-0 on a poor pitch in Worsley.
Walshaw were ahead on five minutes when Paul Snape robbed a Boothstown defender and set up captain Lee Chapman for an easy finish.
The visitors dominated possession in the first half and struck again two minutes after the restart, Rob Taylor ghosting in at the far post to claim a rare goal.
Town rarely threatened and look doomed for a speedy return to Division One, while Tino Blake and Snape missed chances to seal victory.
But two goals proved enough for Walshaw, who are 12th heading into Saturday’s trip to title-chasing Royton.
