SUPER sub Nick Robinson gave FC United the perfect Christmas present with a last-gasp winner against in-form Marine.
The Rebels striker struck in the 88th minute to seal three valuable points at Gigg Lane.
Tommy Turner bagged his first goal for the club to put the Reds in front on 20 minutes, but Peter Cumiskey grabbed a 35th-minute equaliser from the penalty spot.
But fourth-placed Marine were level for less than 60 seconds as Chris Baguley restored their advantage.
The Merseysiders equalised for a second time through Cumiskey seven minutes after the restart.
And the game looked to be heading for a draw before Robinson came off the bench to score with just two minutes left.
FC, who are seven points off the play-off places in 11th, will hope to boost their promotion chances against Ashton United at Hurst Cross on Saturday, before facing Ossett Town at Gigg Lane on New Year’s Day.
