BURY North MP James Frith is asking residents to nominate their favourite pubs for the prestigious Parliamentary Pub of the Year award.
The award, supported by CAMRA, focuses on celebrating the best local pubs have to offer from beer and food to serving community and specialising in music or sport.
Mr Frith said: “Pubs are crucial to our communities as well as to our economy. Britain’s pubs employ over 1 million people and pay around £9 billion in taxes.
"We have many great pubs in Bury, Tottington and Ramsbottom, so it is difficult for me to choose. I am asking local people to nominate their favourite boozer and the most popular choice will go forward as our local entrant.”
Send your nominations to contact@jamesfrith.org before August 17.
