AN inquest into the death of a Radcliffe schoolboy has been delayed until later this year.
Ben Walmsley, aged 15, died in February, and his death has been linked to online psychological horror game Doki Doki Literature Club.
The inquest into the former Philips High School pupil’s death was due to be held this week, but has been delayed until November 22 to allow Bury Council’s safeguarding hub more time to carry out a serious case review.
A pre-inquest hearing at Rochdale Coroner’s Court today heard that the finished report is likely to be put together by the end of September ahead of the inquest.
Police and a coroner investigating the circumstances surrounding Ben’s death have both issued a warning over the dangers of the game, which comes with the warning that it ‘is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed’.
