MUSIC fans are being reminded to grab tickets to a hugely popular rock and indie tribute festival.
Festwich is returning for the sixth year, offering revellers the chance to experience more than 30 top tribute acts to the world’s best rock and roll bands at St Mary’s Park – all for free.
The free two-day event, which will take place on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, will see tribute bands to ACDC, Guns and Roses, Metallica and Coldplay take to the stage.
Saturday tickets are still available although weekend and Sunday tickets have sold out.
Organiser Jools Taylor said: “We are very excited to be in our sixth year of the festival and really looking forward to the summer.
“Festwich has grown beyond our expectations in popularity and we see people from not just the UK but also Europe visiting Festwich and Prestwich it’s amazing.”
Other acts include Kings On Leon, Slipknowt, Mentallica, Blackrose, The Antarctic Monkeys, The Jilted Generation, Daft Punx, The Rozzers,
The festival increased its daily capacity last year from 7,500 to 10,000 people.
