A VAN was destroyed after it set on fire in Bury this evening.
The Vauxhall burst into flames in Walnut Avenue at around 8pm.
Firefighters were called to the scene after the owner attempted to put out the fire with buckets of water but failed.
The fire spread to the whole vehicle and the crew from Bury, wearing breathing apparatus, spent half an hour extinguishing the blaze.
