A MAN ended up in court after sending a used condom to a woman through the post.
Stephen Hough, aged 60, of Castlecroft Mews, Bury, sent the condom to a woman living in Bradley Fold on June 17 last year.
He appeared before Bury magistrates on February 24 and admitted sending an item which was of an indecent or grossly offensive nature for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient.
At a further hearing on March 21, Hough was given a community order, which includes a requirement for alcohol dependency treatment.
Hough must also abide by the terms of a curfew, staying home from 7pm to 7am daily until May 29.
He has been ordered to stay away from the woman for at least a year and to pay £145 court costs.
