CLOTHES caught fire in a bedroom in Unsworth.
The incident took place at a semi-detached house in North Avenue, where the clothes caught fire at about 7.30pm last night.
The fire caused damage to a wardrobe and curtain and there was smoke damage to the floors and ceiling.
Firefighters from Whitefield and Bury attended the scene and were there for an hour and a half.
Nobody was injured.
The house is believed to have been empty at the time but police are investigating the cause of the fire.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "We are investigating the circumstances of the fire. We will visit the scene and speak to any possible witnesses."
