A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a hit and run.

Callum Hilton suffered serious head injuries following the crash at about 6.30pm on Stand Lane, Radcliffe.

The boy. who was out with friends, was crossing Stand Lane when he was hit by a silver Peugeot which did not stop at the scene.

Police have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

Inquiries are still ongoing to trace all those who were on board.

The young boy sustained a serious, life-threatening head injury and was taken to hospital where he later sadly died. His family were with him at the time.
