Traffic was stopped by police on a motorway due to a crash this morning.
The incident took place on the M60 anticlockwise today, Monday January 29, between J17 Prestwich and J18 Simister Island.
Traffic was held while the carriageway was cleared at just before 9am.
As of 9.40am, all lanes had been reopened.
Speaking earlier, a spokesperson for North West Motorway Police said: "Patrols are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the M60 anticlockwise just prior to J18 (Simister Island).
"The traffic has been held whilst the carriageway is cleared and we hope to have it moving again as soon as possible."
Traffic data company Inrix says: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M60 clockwise from J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield) to J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island).
"All lanes have been re-opened. Traffic was held for a short period of time."
